Arthur Henry Fear - Son of Henry Charles Fear, 9th May 1899 - 1989
Arthur attended the Slade School of Art and carried on the artistic flair and did many oil paintings, sculptures and film set modelling and sculpting. The majority of his film set work took place at Pinewood Studios, Elstree, S(A?)BPC, Shepperton and Ealing.
During World War 1 he lied about his age in order to join up and was enlisted as a 1st lieutenant. During World War 2, he was a Draughtsman in the Home Guard.
The majority of his life was spent in Stubbs Wood, Amersham, Bucks and in retirement spent his time in Westonzoyland, Somerset.
He and Mary gave birth to Betty Jean in 1927
Due to the nature of a lot of his work, relatively little survives to this day as the film pieces were destroyed for lack of storage space. Although there may be one or two lucky finds still at the studios.
