Along with a few other carts including Gemini we lined up at Wells at the very top of the ring road into Wells where the winds were very strong and the carts were rocking! We lost some of the waterproof coverings on our roofs and we had a lot of bulbs damaged. Gemini cheered us all up while we stood in the rain waiting to move off by playing every rendition of "Singing in the Rain" they had on their MP3 player!
I think it rained all the way round and the crowds must be commended for coming out. Tonight was the first time Gary drove this year and we made it round the notorious Chamberlain Street corner with ease. As we got the performers off at the end they were looking pretty damp and keen to get home, but this was nothing to how wet the ground crew got by the time we arrived at Glastonbury.
